Carbon Footprint

When i found out my carbon footprint it came out to be about 5.2 planets for me to survive. I figure out that if i ate food without that much wrapping it would cut back on recycling which would also lower my carbon footprint. I love to eat so the amount of food i consumed also shot my carbon footprint up Instead of driving my scooter to class i walked to class which also help me to lower my score. Tried very hard to reuse stuff i had around the house instead of throwing it out. It was very hard for me to change because the things i do everyday are pretty much the same things i do for the next day.

Challenges Faced in the Future

There will be many challenges in the future that me and my family will have to face. I hope one of them dont be finanical challenges. But i think the challenge i will have to face will be our global warming. A lot of people are setting this problem aside like there is nothing to worry about. Like the planet is going to heal itself. Well i dont think so, global warming is going to be a big problem and if we just sit around and wait to see what will happen we will be in big trouble. Right now i know there is a war going on but when global warming becomes a real issue it will affect everybody and notbody can get away from it because everybody lives on earth. And there is nowhere for you to run once global warming has starts its path of destruction. I will be worried for my children children's because they are the ones who will have to deal with our mess. It doesnt take much for us to fix this problem. We just have to start out small and keep doing the things that will help our planet become a better place to live in. Global warming is the challenge i think that i will have to face in the future. Because it will sneak upon everybody when they are not paying close attention to this issue.

Football Coaching

I plan on having a degree some where in the criminal justice field as a back up plan if the National Football League do not work out for me. If i get a chance to make it to the league i want to get enough experience and come back and coach college football. Coaching college football has been a big part of my dreams. I think that you have to play college football first, so that you can have good knowledge about the game. And i think that the players will respect you more when you already played the game of football. Coaching football is a lot of hardwork and their are plenty of rewards to it if you are successful in this game.

Well since my dreams was becoming a football coach i went and talked to my own personal coach about the life of being a college football coach. My position coach name is Mike Simmons he is from Illnois and he played in the NFL for about six years. He played for the Buccanneers and the Chargers. He said "coaching college football is a lot of hardwork, time consuming, and at the end of day it is also fun." I asked him why he said all those things and he told me this: the main reason that it is time consuming because coaches have to watch a lot of film on the other apponent an draw up all the formations that they run and with that it become time consuming. Because sometimes they don't leave the office until like two in the morning and they have to turn right back around and be back to work at eight in the morning and later on that they have to go to practice later on that afternoon. Finally, when he said 'it fun at the end of day" i knew what he meant. Being a coach is fun and yes it has a lot of hardwork to it but like i said if your pretty good at what your doing there are some rewards. If you have a good season; the players and the coaches get to go to a bowl game. Bowl games are great and from his stand point thats what he love the most about being a college coach. The coaches get to go on dinner dates with their wives and then they have their own little sweets to kickback when they are tired. In the begining its a lot of work but in the end it can become one of the most interesting jobs in America.

Without Technology

This project was a fun and interesting one. But it really didnt effect me to much because i am not to big on use technology. I have a phone but you will hardly find me on it. Probably the hardest thing for me was not to use my ipod. I love my music and it seems like i can't get myself in the zone when i'm not listening to it. When you dont have technology it kinda seems like your cut off from the rest of the world. A lot of teenagers hardly ever read the newspaper but they will watch the news to see whats going on. When i didnt watch television i kinda felt weird but i got use to it and i just went to sleep for the rest of the night. I now recognize how important technology is in our daily life. Everything we do or probably facilitate ourselves with consist of technology.

Q & A- Bad Day Nearing Completion. Published in L.A California. Aug 16, 2006.
Throughout this article Mr. McGee, who is the designer of this game sits down with a critique to explain the game that he has designed. As they go on, the critique asks him about the action in the game and if anything has changed from the last time he introduced the game. As they continue Mr. McGee explains to him all the action that is going on in the game and how the violence from the video game does not have anything to do with violence in the real world as some critiques say. They also talk about the soundtracks that are on the game and from what Mr. McGee said, “there are 100 different soundtracks on the game.” The game was also created by two studios from China and Mr. McGee believes that working with outsourced studios will help with his game. This article is also from Gamasutra which is a very reliable source. He also has an outsourcing company located in Vykarian and he is trying to build a bigger one in Shanghai.

Ocampo, Jason. American McGee show off his absurdly over the top and violent spoof of disaster movies. Sep 23, 2005
Mr. McGee said that he was inspired to create this game from a billboard that was located in Los Angeles, California that had a warning: “beware of biological attacks from terrorist.” Once he thought about it, he remembered memories from the 80s when people where spooked about the situation. After that, he started working on the game and the character that you play with in the game, Anthony. Anthony is the homeless guy who pushes the cart around down the busy streets of LA. Then it really starts to go into debt about the game and how it starts off when an airliner crashes into the road and lets out poisons that affect the citizens in the streets. After that everything goes downhill and everything turns into a wreck. Anthony just wants to get out of town but he keeps getting caught up saving people from burning buildings and from French terrorists. In the end, he basically becomes an antihero. This source is also from Gamasutra which is a great source for my paper.

Accardo, Sal ‘Sluggo. Art & Design: American McGee on Bad Day LA (PC). July 19, 2005. Page 1
Through this paper Mr. McGee is interviewed about the unique visual style that his game has. They are comparing Bad Day in LA to his other game called Alice and how the visual style is more colorful than Alice. As the interview goes on, they ask him if he wanted to do a game with such bright colors. Mr. McGee said, “the art style came into play once the story was created and the theme has been established. Art style of a game is very important and I want to make sure that the audience gets a feel of what the game looks like.” This article is supported by IGN entertainment and is a well qualified source for my paper.

Adams, Dan. Bad Day L.A. Review. September 18, 2006.

In this review the author talks about how bad the game is and how it wasn’t what they thought it was. The game was overrated and the visual style of the game was poor. The review basically talks about the game and it goes through and picks out all the bad things about the game. The reviewer also points out the embarrassing parts which are suppose to humor you and make you laugh. Everything that was done in the game was not that intriguing to the people from IGN, and they thought that the game was a wreck. This review was done by Dan Adams who is a member of the IGN entertainment. I think that the article is well qualified for my paper.
